Actually, I just found out that I actually know two people who go to Goddard. Here's what I know and how I would describe them. 1) Goody-goody two shoes chinese girl who's always good in class and whatnot. She's a cool person, but I have never even heard the slightest hint she drinks or does alcohol. She seems to "good" to be doing that kind of thing. 2) Incidentally, another chinese girl. This one, is really soft-spoken, the kind of person you would think is innocent of whatever someone else accuses her off. This one, I know, has no experience at all with alcohol or any sort of drug. Therefore, this really leads me to believe that Goddard is a goody-goody hall. Make what you will of that. small sample bias ftl?

I don't think I'm going to go with Goddard because I don't want to write an extra essay and all that just to get in...it doesn't sound like its worth it.
I'll probably going to go with Hayden or Weinstein. I've got the official word from my parents that they want me in a dorm close to campus because they don't want me walking that far. So no Founders or Third North for me. I'm weighing the pros and cons of Hayden and Weinstein. Hayden has the plus of vegetarian food. Which one is better?
And as for the being afraid of drugs thing... I guess I'll have to get used to it. I just get scared a lot- I can't help it. I'm facebook-searching for a roommate though, so hopefully I can at least get a roommate who doesn't do any of that stuff.
Who'd have thought I'd actually use facebook for something? O__O
Oh my dad confirmed that the price range for my computer is under $1000. So given that, what would you guys reccomend? :3 I want something with a large harddrive (500 GB+) and a REALLY nice video/graphics card.

Of those 2, I would recommend Weinstein, even though Hayden's food is generally better, Weinstein's location is vastly superior since it's right next to the Silver building which is where a lot of classes are held. Also it's sunnier there. Hayden feels dark and secluded. >.> Because I can already feel Zack and Jack arguing, can you ask the computer question in this thread?

Ooh, if your budget for a PC is under 1k and you want a nice graphics card, you might wanna build it yourself. I know that's generic advice but srsly, it'll be so much cheaper, and I'm sure you know someone that's done it before and can take care of things for you.

Weinstein for sure.
crappy freshman morning lecture -> wake up ten mins before -> throw on hoodie -> go to lecture
It sounds lazy now but trust me it's amazing.
As for being afraid of things, you have this lovely community here to look out for you and show you the way if you so choose. You're gonna love NYU.

Hi there. I'm Erika, but I usually go by "Asagiri" and "Kim Pine", Kim being a nickname that was given because I am a lot like the character.
I can be kind of a bitch, but I'm just hoping to join this club and meet some people. I hope to fit in and stuff.

Asagiri from bubblegum crisis? If so, that's a classy and retro nickname. Sounds like you'll fit in here just fine.

Haha hey Zed, I'm sorry but last night when we were in Kimmel, somebody was like "there's somebody called Zed on irc" and I was like "WHO IS THIS ZED", and nobody knew, so I quickly opped Frank and kicked your ass out of the channel. No hard feelings... new members are always welcome, and I picked up the end of your convo with Chad, we are usually in the kimmel lounge, and we are usually having a great time. Welcome to Club!

Ahahahaha Mike that's hilarious, and kind of intimidating. I'm almost afraid to go into irc now. Btw is it active again? I stopped going cause during the summer it was pretty barren, which figures... and you know, irc's such a massive memory hog that if there weren't people in there, I couldn't justify the cpu space. But if it's bustling with people and brimming with lulz, I should definitely get back in the habit of logging in. It sure beats facebook chat..... that awful, awful thing. God.... it's so bad.... Nothing's worse than being in an intense sc2 match and suddenly my game stalls and I'm yanked out to firefox to see someone FB-chatting me. It's like "WHY WOULD YOU EVEN DO THIS?!?!? NEITHER OF US WILL ENJOY COMMUNICATING THIS WAY?!?" And then of course I get back in the game and some dork killed my entire base with two reapers. Actually I'm kinda getting sick of sc2 but I'm so off-topic right now I'm just gonna stop talking. : P

yeah during the summer irc was pretttttyyyy much dead, like 2-3 people at a time, but usually these days we get like 5-6 on average after everyone wakes up. The incoming freshmen will also bolster our regulars, so
freshmen get on irc
