Sorry for taking so long to put this up. The weekend was pretty busy. I wish everyone good luck on their finals. Have a great summer/break. And I hope to see you back here in September. All three of these were amazing - I can't wait to watch You are Umasou again with my brother. : D
I also gotta say thanks again for introducing me to madoka. I'm sure I would've heard about it anyway, but I probably wouldn't have checked it out if not for you showing it in club, and even though it only just ended, I know it's going to be one of my all-time favorite animes evar.
I seriously can't believe madoka had a somewhat happy ending. There's definitely some darkness in the end, and the final scene is open to some depressing interpretation, but it wasn't on the level of horrible mind-ravaging that I was afraid it'd be, which was actually great! With the vast majority of anime, I'd say "ahh, they should've been edgy and given it a horrible, gruesome ending", but I'd come to love all the characters so much that I just didn't want to see that happen.
Two scenes in the final episode really got me - Madoka saying "You were my best friend!" with that cute little face, finally full of happiness like she was in the first few episodes, and Madoka's mom talking about how she'd give her daughter a ribbon like the one Homura had.
Also, remember when Madoka said "I can't wait to have a drink with you when I grow up, Mama!"? *manly tears* I just hope that when Madoka's mom dies and goes up to whatever kind of heaven Madoka's created, she remembers that Madoka used to be her daughter.
Anyway, now I can't wait for NYAF, because Anime Boston had hardly any Madoka stuff (Except for some delicious doujins, I was showing people the kyuubey-themed one this week), but I definitely want a Madoka/Homura poster and a Sayaka/Kyoko yuri poster.
