I voted for everything but zombie. I voted for IS because it looks like it could be interesting, but I'm sure it'll just be a lame harem anime. Plz add plot, k thx.

Yeah, I couldn't bring myself to vote for IS. It's too bad - it has a really interesting set-up, and I've watched a couple other episodes and the fighting's really cool, but at its core it's still got all the annoying cliches of any harem anime. I guess this would be fine, except I always find myself rooting for a girl that isn't the main love-interest. It gets so annoying how they introduce you to all these girls but you know none of them really have a chance except for the main one. That said, if we keep watching it in club I won't mind. The fight scenes are very flashy, and last time when it was shown, it prompted this awesome discussion about why every harem anime follows the same tropes, instead of deviating and having a protagonist that gets with a bunch of the girls, or at least is aware that they like him. : P Eventually, it was pointed out that this happens in school days, to disastrous results. XD So maybe it's for the best that the protagonists seem to have no idea of the incredible power they have over these girls... Incidentally, I've never watched School Rumble, but one of my friends gave me the box set as a random present. I had to leave when it started showing in club, but just knowing that it was shown tells me it's probably worth watching, so I'm gonna check it out now. |

I had to leave when it started showing in club, but just knowing that it was shown tells me it's probably worth watching, so I'm gonna check it out now. Even if the first episode doesn't persuade you, try to keep at it. Actually the side characters is one of my favorite things about the show. Then things get complicated with love triangles all over the place. |

thanks to Anime club i'm now up to date with IS and it's everything I assumed it would be. The only redeeming part was when houka DIDN'T scream after being caught naked.

Least it's not some VN adaptation where the protagonist goes after one girl, finds out her shit, her story ends, he leaves her and goes onto the next one, rinse and repeat. Or try to do all that at once, and making a mess of everything.

I know everything major that happens, but it comes up so often in conversation that I really feel like it's something I need to see. Actually, I could get started pretty soon - I'm watching IS right now just out of boredom (I'm rooting for Charles now, which probably is some indication of how hopeless I am when it comes to picking the person who's gonna win out in a harem anime), but there's only a couple episodes left before I'm caught up. But if shuffle! is actually good, I'll keep that in mind. : D |

Voted for them all, except that silly Zombie one-- I liked it the week prior, but I don't know... depends on how much camp I'm willing to accept on any given evening, I suppose. IS seems like it could be interesting, but as everyone else mentioned, if it denigrates into a standard harem anime... meh.

I've actually cheated on the anime club and watched a bunch of IS, I'm up to episode 8. : D It introduced a character I really like in around episode... 4 I think, but I can't shake the notion that this character is going to lose out to Houki in the end, solely because Houki's the childhood friend, she was the first romance option to appear, and that's how this always ends. Unfortunately I'm now invested in it, so I have a bad feeling this is gonna end with me being bummed that my choice doesn't win. Also, the fight scenes are consistently cool. : D Incidentally, I wasn't feeling Zombie this week either. I hadn't been keeping up on it though, so I figured I was just missing something. |

The one thing I really hate about IS is that all the girls fall head over heels for him. Even the german girl that finally seems like someone that won't be taken in by his masculine pheromones, falls victim to the harem disorder in little more than an episode. It's taking potentially interesting characters, and turning them all into a mushy girl with no character. |
