Seems like most episodes shown this week had some shock value. Reminder that Restaurant Night is slated for next week unless something significant changes. There is also a Karaoke outing in the works. I don't believe any final date has been set yet. And Polytech's Springfest anime convention is happening the first weekend of Spring break. That's March 12th. More details and discussion on it in it's own thread. And good luck to everyone on their midterms/papers or whatever. Wandering SonLevel EThe entire first 3 episodes was one big troll. Madoka MagicaPoor Mami.GosickHis hair looks like a drill that can pierce the heavens. Kore wa Zombie Desu KaCeiling vampire ninja is watching you masturbate. FractaleThis episode has raised my interest in this show. Classic: Rurouni Kenshin

My interest in Wandering Son is beginning to wane, so I didn't vote for that this week. But Madoka Magica just became incredibly more disturbing, and Fractale is looking even more interesting than before and remains my favorite. Gosick is still cutesy, and Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka is hilarious. And I was completely trolled by Level E. Dang-- that came out of nowhere.

Incredibly pleased that Madoka Magica is gaining favor, as it is still my favorite-- so dark and lovely! (poor Mami indeed). I'm truly saddened that I am thus far the only one to have voted for Wandering Son, but I partially agree with Rachel-- the second episode didn't have the same charm and quiet beauty of the first. Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka still doesn't strike my fancy (its self-referentiality is only at the service of a higher degree of otaku pandering- meh). Level E is wonderfully entertaining and I'm ashamed I didn't vote for it the first week. Gosik may have some original elements, but it's still essentially a Sherlock Holmes spin-off that is less an homage than an insult to the intricacy and intelligence of the original; but for some reason I'm still interested (I'm hoping the next "mystery" will be more... mysterious). Fractale is getting better and better-- I think it's a pretty fresh take on standard dystopian themes. I will also now do the pancake dance whenever I want to order them at a diner.
Side note: whoever was doing that perfect imitation of the Kenshin howl-of-pain, I commend you.

Dat ceiling cat...
Fractale and Gosick are vying for my fave. Magical Girl LSD Harem made me mildly interested. Level E was hilarious...
also, was it a coincidence that Level E and Gosick sort of ended a mini-arc at the same time?

Loved the shit out of Kenshin. Most baka-gaijin otaku don't like the original Japanese voice actress for Kenshin, but I can't get enough

Clearly Wandering Son hit a little too close to something for Jack.
