Surprisingly serious for a Magical Girl anime. FractaleWandering SonThe art is really nice. Classic: Space Defense Fortress MacrossThe original Macross series.(1982)

I missed probably the first 15 minutes of Zombie, but the part that I did see was funny as hell so I'll give it another shot at club
Level E was rather amusing, I didn't put this down on my initial to-watch list because I didn't like the synopsis, but it had a solid amount of laughs for a first episode (minimal action though...for an anime that's seeming based on fighting, there was a sheer lack of it, but episode 1 is always a setup episode anyway)
Gosick....BONES, nuff said from me, it gets pretty good in the subsequent episodes, again, episode 1 is always a build up
and that's all I have to say about that

Surprisingly, I liked them all. Wandering son was a bit different but it's cute and the storyline is original if nothing else. Fractale was probably my favorite in terms of plot. The Zombie one and Level E were hilarious, I like my lolz. Gosick was cutesy and interesting, and Puella Magi Madoka Magica looks like it has an interesting plot apart from the loli, which, btw, I don't approve of. Seriously, what is it with people in Japan who have fetishes for 8 year old girls, anyway?

Kore wa Zombie desu ka I thought this was a hilarious anime so of course I'm going to vote for it lol. This will be my action fix.
Gosick I bordered on like and dislike with this one. It almost seemed a bit too quiet of an anime, but the darker feel of it all won out in the end. Ain't a Death Note though.
Level E I honestly didn't like this one. Regardless of the premise of this anime, I just didn't find the characters interesting. I'm also not really into the whole sci-fi alien genre, so I'm a little biased here.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica I thoroughly enjoyed this one, even if I thought the artstyle at times was wierd lol. The artsyle of the characters themselves I enjoyed, and the story sounds really interesting. I only hope it doesn't fall out of the line-up (2 votes ><)
Fractale This came off as almost too kiddy so I'm iffy on this one. I voted yes just out of curiosity, since while I don't like sci-fi, I do enjoy futuristic settings. The story wasn't all that interesting til the end of the epsiode, when it gave a little relief to the suspense.
Wandering Son Sad story that while I can't relate to completely (cross dressing?!) the whole relationship side of the story did hit a soft spot, and I found it rather sad. I'm a sucker for these kinds of animes.
Short and to the point.

All the anime were pretty good. I heard Level E gets really good around episode 3, and Fractale and Wandering Son seem to have a potential to be good. I hope Gosick gets better later on. Based on how simple the mystery in episode 1 was, apparently it's about a girl of average intelligence solving mysteries for extremely stupid inspectors.

Great way to start of the semester so far. For all the complaining about winter's lineup, it seems to be better than all of last year.
Fractale and Gosick seem to be my faves. Level E has potential, and Zombie is entertaining.

Kore wa zombie desu ka struck me as pretty much pure otaku pandering-- it was amusing, but I don't usually go for that sort of thing, so it wasn't my favorite. I really enjoyed Puella Magi Madoka Magica a lot-- as you said, surprisingly serious for a magical girl show. I really got sucked into it, it had a great tone, very nice visuals-- interesting stuff. Fractale was lovely, no surprise. I had mixed feelings about Gosik but I liked the concept enough that I'd like to see some more. I'm a bit of a sucker for the whole fictive-European-country thing. Level E: meh. Couldn't get into that one for whatever reason. LOOOOOVED Wandering Son. Muted, beautiful, eloquent. Wish there was more anime like that out there. All around, good choices, it was nice getting caught up on all the current shtuff.

I like Level E, I forgot to click it. I'm glad other people like Wandering Son. I thought it was so sweet. A lot of times, if I see really good animation I'm easily won over by the show, so it's good to hear others liked it. Zombie desu ka was funny but a little strange... much prefer Gosick, Fractale, and Wandering Son.

Episode numbers missing from filenames fix plox. I was gonna put the episode number on the image files, but when I upload to imageshack, it changes the file name anyway. Anyway, all of these are episode 1. I'll label the episode number within the posts starting next week. (I was having trouble uploading to photobucket if you're wondering why I used imageshack instead. If the photobucket stops acting wonky, I'll use it again. If I feel like it.)

Doesn't look like comedy or relationship stuffs win out too much anymore >< Or maybe it's just my tastes.

Level E is like... gag comedy/just making fun of other anime in general. But trust me, it's hilarious.

A little late to the party but I'll just say I ended up enjoying Madoka Majica. Mami's unlimited musket works is cool. And things go later.
