I hope everyone had a good Winter Break. It sucks that our vacation's over but at least we can look forward to Club Anime each week. Since it was Chinese New Year, we went with a Chinese theme. All the shows we watched have some background in Chinese mythology(except for the movie). SaiyukiFruits BasketDragon BallKing Of ThornI apologize for the bad subs. When I first downloaded it a few months ago when the movie came out, this was the only existing sub. No new subs came out for weeks so I just kept it. But I just checked tonight and it seems that someone else has subbed it. I should've checked for new subs before I showed it in club. Oh well, can't take back what's done. I haven't checked out the new subs yet(dnlding now). I would assume they're better, but no guarantees. You can downoad it in case you want to watch the movie again or wanna archive it for yourself. The person also provided a download for the manga which I highly recommend reading since the movie took a lot of liberties with the storyline. harthropy.wordpress.com/2010/12/21/ibara-no-ou-720p-released/Note: Ibara no ou is the Japanese title Anyway, hope to see you guys next week!

In fact, the translation is so much better, that overall understanding of the story has improved considerably. Recommend a second watching for everyone that liked it. I feel ashamed for having showed that mess of a translation that could barely be called english. Well at least it sparked interest which was my main goal.

Howdy, last week was my first time coming to the club, had a grand old time. I enjoyed King of Thorn a great deal, I just might hunt for those new subs to see if I can make better sense of the last 30 minutes or so. I look forward to tomorrow!

I think the biggest headscratching moments weren't caused by the subs, but by all of the memory/illusions/time traveling in the last like 20 minutes where you couldn't figure out what was happening and wasn't happening Owen-san....errr...Marco is still a badass no matter how bad the subs may be great movie though @raf - do i sense a regular classic coming to club, if so i second that motion @personwhosenameidontknow - Awesome to see new people in club (even though I don't know even 50% of the people in club yet), you ain't seen nothin yet, this semester is gonna rock
