USDA Club Anime!!! I was hoping the existing members could have a pre-semester meeting to just catch up, and the release of the Miyazaki film 'Tales from Earth Sea' sounds like the perfect thing. The times on the Poll are for Friday 13--0oo0ooo0. depending on the chosen time we'll meet at the usual place(kimmel) about 45 mins before hand. Hope you guys can make it!!! EDIT: change of plans we are going to see Scott pilgrim vs the world and meet at kimmel at 6:30. It is recommended you get your tickets EARLY as in today or EARLY tom. this way if you cant meet us at 6:30 you can prob meet us at the theater. The movie is at the Regal by union square at 8:45p. |

Yo, what's really good Rafy. Like I said, I'm up for this gathering. A good way to catch up and see what everyone else has been up to. I'm all for going at either 5:30pm or 8pm. I'm saying it here since your poll doesn't allow multiple votes. So yeah man, for the movie gathering, LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN!

ok so there wasn't enough people to set this up but a few of us are still going to hit up the movies. meeting place is still kimmel at 6:30pm. We are probably going to hit up the Scott pilgrim vs the world movie.

Something that Rafy forgot to mention is that we are planning on seeing the Pilgrim movie at 8:45pm. Since it comes out tomorrow, I would HIGHLY suggest people to get their tickets today or early tomorrow before it sold out. That way, when we meet up, we can get to the theater before the long lines with our tickets at hand and that we may be able to sit in the same row or so. But yeah, movie night - Scott Pilgrim vs the World is still on for tomorrow. Meet at 6:30pm, watch the movie at 8:45pm.

YES!!! I can't wait to see this. I'll def be there, and I talked to Jack and he's coming too. As always, we're looking for some trouble to get into after the movie, so if anyone's got anything going on let us know. ;D

Didn't want to make a new topic about it, so I'll just hijack this one.
Who's planning on going to welcome week stuff? I'll probably end up days there are free stuff and mafia games. Hopefully we can meet up (especially the freshies).
Also, is anyone up for doing something (restaurant, movie, etc) that Friday? The LAST Friday of freedom?

xD Another successful thread hijack haha Since I'm moving in the 28th - I'm going to be uh stuck here. =v=; I hope that other people are moving in relatively early, but if not I can find ways to amuse myself I figure that at this point in time Welcome Week doesn't have much to offer to sophomores haha. But hey hey I'm all up for doing cool things on that final Friday of freedom. :3 C-CAN THIS BE ANOTHER KARAOKE NIGHT?!?!?! Yea I figure it'd be nice to meet some of the freshies that find their way to the forums before classes start.
I believe every year on a Wednesday or Thursday there is a casino night. It's free and kinda fun, so I figure a few non-freshies would be interested. Not to mention the free stuff throughout the week.
Plus mafia. NYU Club Anime loves mafia.

8U you never sat for any of those safety in the city pannels? That's where you get backpack locks which are actually quite useful. Then NYU seems to just shower you in condoms from the moment you arrive. Free food usually falls into the categories of candy and pizza since that's what college students exist on apparently xU And then there's that showcase from local companies in the area and that's when you're showered with more free and or useless stuff. like stress balls with bank logos and packets of peanut butter from Whole Foods; its truly something to look foreward to |
