Ah, this is the project they were talking about. Not sure if a whole series is a good idea - a movie would make more sense (kinda like Dragon Ball:A Hero's Legacy). But these guys managed to do three seasons with out f'ing up, which is more than most TV shows can say so...

I've got total faith in Mike and Bryan. The original Avatar series was epic, so I think this one will be too! And until the recent rumors, I never thought I'd see a new Avatar series, but here it is, meant to premiere next year!! Plus, the plot of this one sounds interesting. A female Avatar, Aang's son, an anti-bending rebellion, and a steampunk city. Sounds cool to me!!

Anyway, I hope they don't try too hard to connect the two series (cameos/children of everyone). I will be disappointed if this can't stand on it's own merits.
Also, wasn't the Fire Nation pretty "steam" punk?
;D ;D

xD The whole cameo-with-everyone's-children-showing up is something I'm worried about, too, Zack 8DDDD But at the same time: I am exciteFreaking love the steampunk! and how GRITTY it looks. Korra particularly does not look like a pushover. LOL INB4 SARA SHOWS UP: WHO WAS RIGHT. DID I SAY THAT AN EARTH NATION REPRESENTATIVE WOULD BE THE NEXT AVATAR OR A WATER EDIT: I got my answer, 70 years AFTER Aang is not so bad xD SO SO SOSO SOSOSO ... D: Oh! Also, doesn't this mean that Aang is dead? So does anyone have any projected ideas on how old Aang's apparent child is in this series? :0 :/ Still want to know about Ursa though

Also, doesn't this mean that Aang is dead? So does anyone have any projected ideas on how old Aang's apparent child is in this series? :0 Well Aang was 12 or 13 when the series ended. Let's say he and Katara had a kid 10 years later. Since the series takes place 70 years in the future, that would make Tenzin about 60 years old. Even if Aang and Katara had him 20 years after the series, he would still be 50. In other words, Tenzin is going to be middle aged to old. Probably around Iroh's age. Yeah, Aang would have to be dead. If Korra is in her teens and has discovered she's the Avatar, that means Aang would have died 16-ish years before the new series started, which means he only lived until his late 60s. But I'm not too worried about the kids thing, because everyone from the original series would be old or dead at this point because of the time jump, and their kids would be old, so it's not like there will be shipbabies running all over the place. XD

Then Aang is around 170 or so isn't he? *REMEMBER HE WAS FROZEN IN ICE* owo So wow, that's both amazing and crazy haha. xDx Also, I sure do hope there are not too many shipbabies running amuck - oh sweet relief knowing it's so far in the future. Good job Bryke!--- Also, I guess this mean we will never know. With Ursa. Maybe they'll keep it one of those ultimate secrets the fans will never know and just dangle it in front of us to make us jump :U

Also, I guess this mean we will never know. With Ursa. Maybe they'll keep it one of those ultimate secrets the fans will never know and just dangle it in front of us to make us jump :U I'm going to keep wondering about Ursa forever! It was one of the biggest cliffhangers in the series that I've wanted closure on since Zuko Alone in season two. But I haven't given up hope. In the introduction to the new Avatar art book (have you gotten it? It's AMAZING), Mike and Bryan said this: The question people most often ask us about Avatar: The Last Airbender is, "How did you come up with the idea?" The second-most-asked question is, "How did you make the show?" And the third-most-asked question is, "What happened to Zuko's mother?" Our goal for this book is to fully provide an answer for the first two questions. Sorry, the last one will have to remain a mystery for now.(emphasis mine) So yeah, they said "for now," not FOREVER, so maybe we'll get some sort of mention of it in the new series? Hopeful optimism! But then again, Bryke love trolling the Avatar fandom, so they could have just done that to tick everyone off. XD

lol....they're keeping you on their hook with Ursa.
I'm sure there'll be a few other cameos (remember, Bumi was over 100), but if we have a references every week, I'm gonna be pissed.
I'm calling 80+ year old Azula/Azula's daughter/clone right now. They need to keep their psycho quota.
Anyway, I think this will be a much better way of handling an epilogue of sorts than say a certain fantasy book series that had a final chapter that was completely shipbabies......

@rachel: I skimmed through the artbook -- even though they can't do that futuristic show they wanted at least they have steampunk . I know I should have just gone in and bought it but I've been down on money for awhile - I'll probably ask for it as a gift xD @zack: LOL OH JK ROWLING, GOT US GOOD WITH THE SHIPBABIES Well at least Malfoy's hair is balding :B That was the good thing about that epilogue

Yeah, I hated the end of HP. I would've much rather had the last chapter take place a few months later, and they're going back to Hogwarts to teach or something. But o well.
This looks pretty sweet. Can't wait for M Night to bring it to the big screen. ;D
By the way I just thought of something - I guess I'm gonna actually be watching Nickelodeon again now. I haven't done that in forever. Let's hope they put the avatar episodes in between some retro shows, like Rocko's Modern Life or Rugrats.

T___T Such a terrible thing to joke about.
xD; I do hope that, if they WANT to do a movie they opt for the feature animation route. And spend all that money on making sure the animation is gorgeous - that would be well worth it.
