Alright then. It is confirmed. Saturday, November 21st will be NYU Club Anime first Karaoke Event/Night. Now, I reserved the room for 3:30pm to 7:30pm. That is exactly 4 hours. You don't have to stay the whole time in case you have to go to places. Now, on to where to meet and such.
Those who want to go together, we will meet in Kimmel by the marble stairs by 3PM. This means that we will be leaving AT 3pm, so be there by 3pm. If you want to go there directly or get to kimmel after 3pm, then take the NRQW trains to 34th street, walk outside to 35th street and 6th avenue, walk east until you see a sign that says "35 Duet Karaoke." The place will be on the 2nd floor. Again, it will be located on 35th street between 5th and 6th avenues. Any questions, PM me before Saturday for my number.
Finally, the prices was mentioned earlier on this thread, so just look at them. That is all.

Actually, I got a call today from an old friend, and she's coming into the city tomorrow. Unfortunately she takes precedence... so I might or might not be there. She doesn't seem like the type to karaoke, btw.

It's cool. You gotta do what you gotta do. If you have any time though or feel up for it, you are more than welcome to pass by.

Well, I want to thank everyone who was able to make it to tonight's event. We had a blast. We even had Korean food after the Karaoke (thank you Mike for the Restaurant suggestion). For those who couldn't make it, we are sure that we can make another similar event sometime in the Spring semester seeing how successful today's event was.
I'm planning on closing this thread by December 1st. Until then, feel free to share your thoughts on today's event (for those who went), any suggestions for future Karaoke event, etc etc. For any other non-karaoke suggestions, always make a new thread. Happy posting!

Karaoke + restaurant + etc etc was really awesome. Brief scare when I got locked out, but thankfully my rms were on their way home and I had my laptop with an unwatched ep of Nyan Koi. My 'always have extra crap on your laptop you haven't seen/procrastination on dled stuff' habit has time and time again paid off!
Also we've discovered a badass place for future meet ups!!!! *currently doing damage control by sucking on a cough drop and dling morre animes*

One thing to be noted is that that restaurant I picked out, while delicious and great to eat at, was fukken expensive, and that was my bad. However, it was K-Town, and everywhere around there is expensive.
Karaoke was waaay more fun that I expected. Even though I arrived late, it was still a blast. The afterparty was pretty nice, too.. a mellow way to end the evening.

Well, I didn't have money or time, so I skipped on the dinner but the karaoke was great!
I have the freakin' voice of an angel. You guys should totally buy my albums. j/k
I felt really good about my rendition of Final Fantasy VIII's Eyes on me. Zack should've been there just to hear that. He would've shed a tear.
For those of you that couldn't be there to witness greatness in the making first hand, it sounded a bit like this:
Only it was more beautiful.

;D Thanks so much for all the fun, you guys! I didn't expect dinner so that was a pleasant surprise. Even though it was expensive, the food was worth it! And the afterparty was funny. Sorry I didn't stay longer.
Those of you who couldn't make it, if there's another karaoke event, you should definitely go! You won't regret it.
@mike: It's me, Mike, it's me! The one with the confusing username. You remember, right?
@jeff: I agree. Eyes On Me was beautiful. We should totally sing another duet next time. You chose next time.

Of course I remember, Doris. Also, it was nice to meet and get to know people better... There's so many people in club I just don't know and would love to get to meet.
Let's do it again sometime, sooner than later, lol

Definitely. See, THATS why we are making thee events. Last year, there was no events like what we have going on this year. Personally, I simply want people to get to know each other instead of only going to the meetings, watching anime, and leave without meeting other people. These events are a start of course. Hopefully, we can make it better. lol.

o3o I love these events, I must say I was afraid that anime club would just be us sitting around and watching anime. <3 Us all coming out here and bonding and just you know, KNOWING EACH OTHER OUTSIDE OF THE CLUB, I THINK is way awesome and much more than I expected <3
;D; You guys are so cool! THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE KOREAN FOOD TOO, MIKE! *Even if it was expensive, who cares it's kalbi* D: I was dying for good rice instead of the stuff that shows up in Paladium and parades itself as rice. BLASPHEMY.
asdpkoasdpkosadaods But yes, Karaoke was amazing. ;D Props to all you cool kids who let your voices be HEARD <3 Everyone was so classy and the ENTHUSIASM is so much more than the other few 'karaoke nights' I attended. Henceforth we = win.
;3 Just sayin', also, will upload crazy pictures and vids before this thread closes! KEEP ON THE LOOKOUT

Hey Angeli, I'm sure you posted the pics of facebook. Is there any way to link them here before I close this thread?
