Great fight. If we can squeeze in Yusuke vs Sensui, then that would be an epic night!

I agree actually, I just thought Toguro would be more popular. Sensui was awesome and totally f'ing crazy at the same time.

True true. Does anyone have any preference as to when Classic Anime Night should happen?

Alright everyone -
Some of the members of the Elite Four, namely Chad and myself, are thinking that we can try to hold Classic night for this coming Thursday, November 12th. If you wish, you can make suggestions on which series and episode you wish to show to the rest of the club. So far, from thelooks of things, Yuyu Hakusho seems to be a must, especially the Sensui vs Yusuke episode. Any other suggestions, list them. Additionally, if you actually have the episode (DVD, on hardrive, etc), brin it with you on Thursday so that Jeffrey can show it to the club.
Now, start commenting!

I would suggest some classic shojo, but considering anime club is mostly guys I think I'll hold off (SAILOR MOON FOREVER!) Maybe NGE? (Is that classic?) Or Tenchi Muyo? I own none of these!

Would Otaku no Video count? :O

Yup. Otaku no Video counts. After all, it did define what it meant to be an otaku (there are sooo many articles that supports this theory.lol).

Awww, early 90s only? *Dreams of Cowboy Bebop and Trigun wither and die.*
Well, I second the Tenchi Muyo vote! I was never a fan of girly anime, even when I was little (watched half an episode of Sailor Moon before having a "WTF?" face), but Tenchi Muyo was fun action anime that was one of the first harem series out there. And what about Lupin the 3rd? I'm kinda surprised no one else mentioned it, because I always thought it was a hilarious series (even if the episodes got a bit repetitive), and you could pretty much jump into the series at any point without needing much background info. I'm also surprised no fanboys mentioned Neon Genesis Evangelion, but I'm not going to question that (I think it's a good anime, not the best, but has a kickass intro). That's my two cents on the matter so far, though I don't have any of said-anime on disc or with me at NYU; if we happen to find clips awesome, if not I'll live (a tormented unfulfilled life, but living nonetheless). :3

I seriously hope you guys have some of these things to bring cause I don't have most of these. I do have a ton of stuff to show already so there's no problem. Actually I'm not sure if there'll be enough time to show everything I want.

I have a case of DVDs, I'll bring it over for you guys to see.
What time do you guys usually start hanging out in anime club anyway?
I have about 5 series that came out before year 2000:
Gasaraki (1998) St. Luminous Mission High School (1998) Melty Lancer (1999) Serial Experiments Lain (1998) Burn Up Excess (1997)
And lots of series from that that seem old school to me that came out after 2000. But if Gokusen (2004) counts as classic anime then my collection should be fine..... also I have Genshiken (2004). :]
Maybe we can have a "not so classic" anime night another time? I am totally wanting to rewatch the epicnes of Naruto 133-4 XD

Wait now I'm confused - do you mean classic, as in old and cool, or classic as in talked about amongst many anime fans and set as a standard and conversation point for many anime to come? Because if we are talking about the latter, I could contribute stuff like:
Planetes (2003) Hajime no Ippo (2003) Elfen Lied (2004) Gunslinger Girl (2003) Gantz (2004)
