Whoo, grats man. What's the predominant 2v2 strat in the plat league? Tons of early pressure until someone folds?

I actually haven't played any 2v2 matches after the 10 placement matches. Usually early pressure is really bad imo because your opponents come out ahead if they defend it. Two of my placement matches involved 2 Zergs rushing my Zerg partner without damaging me and I ended up out-macroing both of them and winning in the end.

I wasn't liking the pace of 2 v 2 because it seemed like whoever attacked first won, but I guess I should work on my early-game defense/micro so I can repel that better.

Played 6 games in platinum 2v2, went 2-4 to all favored opponents with 2 losses to cheese. The teams have such good strategies planned out D: I went through my placement matches thinking: if the map isn't Twilight Fortress, I'm doing 2rax reapers into 3rax mnmnm and 2rax expo in Twilight Fortress. My friend would just mass roaches and we won 10 of our games with that mindset. Then we lost 3 games in a row with that same mindset to very interesting strategies, including a TT team doing double scv/marine rush and a ZP doing proxy 2gate + fast roaches. The two games we won involved fast expansions on both sides and mass mnmnm/roaches from us. Basically, 2v2 is freaking complex

Ooh, the double scv/marine rush - they sent a group of SCVs and marines to each base? Or did they pound one base with both groups, and then 2 v 1 you?

To each base My friend held it off since he went for an 8pool but I only had 3 marines at the time compared to 6 and my bunker didn't get up in time so I died easily >_>
