1-1: First meeting, tell us what you think

Please tell us what you thought of our first meeting of the year. Tell us what you hated, what you liked, what we should've done, etc.

Also, please vote for what shows you'd like to continue watching in club. We will use this to determine whether we continue showing something in the following meetings.

We wanna change things up every once in awhile too so let us know if you have any suggestions on what we could watch or do in the suggestions thread.

Quiz Magic Academy (www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=9560) is an OVA. We decided to show that since we had only a few minutes left in the club and wanted to show you guys and girls something that is cheery (I guess that is the best word to say... cheery). In short, since it was an OVA, we could easily watch it and finish it without trouble. What did you think of it kinkykevin?

The funny thing is, all the anime that we watched today were recommended to me by friends before and I never listened to them. I see why they did now.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the reason I left out QMA from the poll. Thanks for filling in for me Luis. Anyway, so yeah, what Luis said.

Of course I have other anime that I wanted to show but didn't have time today(or would it be yesterday now). So depending on which shows and how many shows get a lot of votes, I'll see what else can make it in to the next meeting.

Ahhh! That is the question of the day. lol.

We try to have a taste of different series to (1) get a feel for what you guys, the members, like or dislike and (2) to show everyone the new stuff that will hit this side of the world in months to come (we try to show it to you guys and girls before anyone in the U.S. knows about a series.

Oh yeah, it is definitely possible. We have finished past series but these series were the ones that EVERYBODY in the club liked. One perfect example is Kannagi (all four E-Board members recommend that series... a slice of life to its epicness).

Yeah, I'm just gonna add a little to what Luis said. So 1 episode of each series pretty much most of the time. If a series turn out to be really popular, then maybe we could show 2 at a meeting if demand increases. Also, for shorter things like Hetalia, I'm not opposed to showing more than one episode, though for now I think we'll keep it at 1.

As for finishing a series, yes like Luis said it does happen. But it only happens with series that are 13 episodes long. So something like Hayate no Gotoku which has 77 episodes long has no chance of finishing. Most of the other things we showed are 13 episodes though so if people really liked it, it shouldn't be a problem for us to finish it.

I thought the first club meeting was pretty awsome and i got to meet a bunch of people who love anime just as much as I do. It also seems as though you guys have an awesome variety of anime, all of which are of very high quality. I was kinda uneasy when you showed princess lover because its a guy orientated ecchi/harem anime. All good though . Personally i could use a little more of canaan, but that only cause ive already watched all the others; yes, even hetalia.

PS: I think Jeff's avatar pic is AWESOME!!! i still cant tell if its haruhi or not though, it just looks funny

PSS: I bet you Ga Rei Zero is going to score mad high, although the first episode isnt really accurate for the rest of the anime >.>

That's the kind of feedback I can use. I'll keep that in mind for next time or other shows. Thanks for giving your opinion.

Also thanks for telling me that you saw most of the shows already. That's also something I wanna know. If most people have already seen the shows, then I won't show them. Since, well it'd be kinda pointless and your likely to get bored watching something you've already seen.

I too would like to show more of Ga-Rei Zero. The show only gets better from here.

I personally LOVED Hetalia, and Hayate no Gotoku, but Princess Lover had WAY too much fanservice for my taste (being female and all). And Ga-Rei Zero...errr...no comment. I wasn't there for that last one (sorr I had to duck out!) Still good stuff. KEEP BRINGING FOOD! That's an incentive to come. I won't be here next meeting BBBBUUUUTTTTT I will try to be there for the rest of them.

Ga Rei Zero had me on the edge the whole time...what a spectacular first episode. Although, the animation on some of the monsters was rather sketchy....I think the interesting plot twist made for a tremendous set up for the season.

I found it interesting how the producers made the characters connect with larger issues with flashbacks, so the beginning characters aren't entirely irrelevant to the story after being killed off.

I can't wait to see the rest!
