There are a few anime movie screenings happening in your local movie theaters.
The IFC theater which is on 6th avenue right by west 4th street(Just a few blocks west of Kimmel), is showing a bunch of animu films over the next couple of weeks. This week is Ghibli.

The new "Fullmetal Alchemist: The sacred star of Milos" is going to have a one week screening at the Cinema Village theater(that's the theater across from 3rd North) on January 20th 2012.
