It's showing from this Friday to next Thursday only. I'm assuming it's the Funimation dub. Shame it wasn't a week later, it would make a great club event. Anyway who wants to go Monday or Wednesday?

It seems they're going to show it in japanese w/ english subs. I might go if I can get the student discount for it. Anyone know if student discounts work for it? btw, if I do go, it'll probably be over the weekend. Too busy during the weekdays.

Crap. I just found out that the Eureka seven movie is going to be shown at the Regal Union Square stadium 14 movie theater. It's a one night showing but it's the same night as our first club meeting. I kinda wish I could've gone. Well, too bad. There's a lot going on in the next week. For those of you thinking you might skip club to go see the movie, remember the club is free and we even give you food at no charge. And we'll show better stuff too.

Hmmm, let me review my situation. We are talking about NGE 1.0: You are (Not) Alone. It will be shown for only one week. This series happens to be one of the top 10 in my book (probably ranked 2nd... I'll have to check my list again). I would be able to go on Monday as well but only after 7pm (well 6:30-ish but my TA can hold us longer).
Advantage of going to see this film: We can use this trip/get together to meet new faces and enjoy an evening out in the town. In addition, IT'S NGE! Nuff said.
Summary: I'm down for either this weekend, Monday, and Tuesday (but after 6pm). What do others say about this?

Yeah only thing is I'm going home Saturday/Sunday and I got plans for Friday already, thus weekdays. What we should do with the Eureka movie if enough people want to see it is pirate legally acquire all rights and express consent to the movie and show it in club ourselves. Monday after seven sounds promising.

Alright then. Monday after seven works for me as well. I will let everyone else in the club know as well. I'm guessing most of us will meet on campus and head to the theater together. Is there any after-event? Perhaps hit some restaurants or get bubble tea?

I would recommend we meet up inside Kimmel, by the marble stairs. It is the first thing people will see when entering Kimmel and, since Kimmel will not be packed at that time (7pm), we will not be in the way of other people going upstairs or downstairs. So yes, Kimmel, 1st floor, start getting there by 7pm and we should be moving out near 7:30-ish (unless everyone who said they will want to go is already there... then we deploy earlier). Sounds good everyone?

Haha, sounds good - make a sign or something because I remember the last few times I've been to Kimmel's grand staircase at 7 it's been packed by various groups

Sounds good! But should we buy tickets ahead of time? Does anyone know when the movie starts?

Hey everyone. I was investigating more info on the movie time, location, and other stuff. Just to give a heads up, the available showing of the film is at 8:30pm. Now, there is one at 6:15pm as well but since we are meeting at 7pm, the only one that works for everyone will be at 8:30pm. The film is exactly 95 minutes, so expect us to be getting out of the theater at around 10:05pm (10:30-ish to be safe... you know, previews and all the theater procedures).
In case you never been to this theater, the Village East Cinema is located between 12th and 11th street and 2nd avenue. If you want to get there on your own, take the NRQW trains to Union Square and transfer to the "L" train to 3rd Avenue. Get out, walk East one block and then walk south two blocks. Nonetheless, we will still meet up at Kimmel to go as a group. We may even stop by some Bubble Tea places. The two that comes to mind that I REALLY liked was Saint Alp's and TKettle. They are both near St. Marks (Saint Alp's is between 9th and 10th street and 3rd avenue while TKettle is between 3rd and 2nd and St. Marks.), thus is exactly on the way to the theater.
My suggestion would be to buy the tickets ahead of time. I'll most likely get my ticket on Saturday (I'm always on campus now a days, even on weekends). They only cost $12.50 on Monday ($7.00 on Tuesdays with free unlimited popcorn... just throwing this out for future club plans). Feel free to either leave a message here or PM me before 2pm on Saturday if you want to head there together. I'll definitely be in the commuter lounge at Kimmel (look for the only person with the FF8 Griever necklace).
I'll definitely use some poster (which really is my notebook) on Monday so you can identify who I am. If not, I'll be smack dead in the middle of the marble stairs with my big red bookbag.
Hope to see many of you soon!

You can actually just walk there. The theater is on the other side of 3rd North. A 15 minute walk. Luis just likes abusing his unlimited rides metrocard.
Anyway, Luis, while I know your very proud of your necklace, but chances are people won't be able to notice your necklace unless they're really close so just write on a piece of paper club anime or something.
You know what? I'm really cheap and I wanna save as much money as I can for the anifest. So I'm probably gonna go on tuesday to get the student discount. You guys have fun.
