Jarvan and Nocturne can be mega OP in the right hands, I've been realizing. Especially since I play squishy casters (besides swain). The nerfbat is probably going to whack Nocturne in the face, really, really hard.
In other news, I played a game yesterday in which we were 1:06 in, we were losing teamfights (because they targeted my ryze like I was a carrot on a stick), and suddenly our nocturne backdoors their bottom turret, inhib, and nexus (the nexus towers having been destroyed in earlier pushes), and we win as they push into our base for a final assault. Felt super good man.
Renek is definitely seeing some more play from the better players in the community, there are some good Renektons I've been seeing play the semi-tank super bruiser role and dominating.
I play a sick Janna, maybe we'll duo queue sometime and I'll play with you and show you anything you might not have known. Imo she has the best useful CC of any support in the game, and along with that the best shield (simply because it adds a BF sword along with a 1.0 AP ratio). Pure AP and CDR Janna is pretty much an unstoppable support force that can even push lanes safely (with boots of any kind she becomes one of the fastest champs in the game) and boost/shield and even kite a decent amount. Her slow ends up doing enormous damage with a small mana cost late game, so you can spam it in teamfights for delicious enemy confusion...
"Did that Janna just hit me for a combined 800 damage with her Q-W? Jesus fuck wtf is going on"
Yeah I play, I guess. I mean there was that tournament at Pax East and I'm level 16 otherwise. It's been a while kinda but I guess if it's any fun I'll start up again some days and play with yous guys.
melee damage itemization really does blow, man. I played against an AP TF today who rocked the shit out of us... his cards did like 500 damage apiece, and he spammed that shit like a boss. Fuck good Twisted Fate players. They're garbage and break the game lol
I just used that build and went 10/1/9, but it's tough to say if it was the build or just fail players, cause I was laning against a Trist and a Tryn that chad and I killed about 3 times each in the first ten minutes of the game.
I guess I'll keep trying it out and see if I run into any problems. Garen's definitely growing on me though.
Also, do you need 3 pots? I bought one and didn't even need to use that one, his passive seems to do nice enough healing that I don't have a problem.
In case you guys don't see my FB post, I really like Brand - just played a match as him and did pretty well considering it was 4 v 5 and my teammates were all horribad.
However, I checked the forums and didn't see any good Brand guides. There were a few bad Brand guides, but I figured I should steer clear of those. : P Any advice for a solid Brand build? I'm interested in trying as much stuff as possible now, so I can know by the end of the week if I'm gonna throw down the points for him or not.
