dude... why seagate? Their DoA rates for their harddrives are the highest. There's a reason why their 2TB drives are so cheap compared to every other company. Cause you always have to buy at least 2 to get a SINGLE functioning one.

Better DoA than DaA. Though I'm frightened to think of what Newegg's RMA system is like...

Everything seems to be fine. I would reccommend liquid-cooling, but I heard you didn't know how to do it. If I could teach you in under 10 minutes, I would. Since it takes longer, I won't. For bragging purposes, here's the specs on the server rig back in Jersey I chose parts to be rebuilt. Oh god, my dad's budget is ridiculous. CPU: Opteron 2.0 x8Motherboard: Godly motherboardGPU: Nvidia GTX 260 x2 RAM: DDR3 1600 24GB (8x3GB)Pretty sure the model of the memory is right. HDD #1: 600 GB VelociraptorHDD #2: 600 GB CheetahComing in, will replace #1 as main. The motherboard is ridiculous, both in price and what it can hold. It supports up to a 12-core Opteron, it has 16 memory slots supporting up to 256 GB of memory, 3 GRAPHICS CARD SLOTS?!?!?, Dual-port LAN, 3.2GHz HyperTransport (if you don't know what this is, it is insignificant), and a bunch of other ports for everything you can imagine plus some things you can't. The only bad drawback is that there is no specific PCI x1 slot for sound cards, so it has to be carefully fitted into a larger one.

I agree with the use of GSKILL ram, I'd also be ready for DoA on at least one of the modules. GSKILL has gotten a bit of a rep on having a high DoA rate on their Ripjaws series
GSKILL's replacement policy though is pretty good, so that shouldn't really hinder anything.
other than that it should be a kickass rig, provided the video card is restocked soon.
i'll be building a rig over the winter break, tighter budget so it'll be ATI/AMD for me

@jack, I think you need to destroy that thing. It's obviously Skynet. Also, watercooling would add another few hundred I don't want to spend. I'll open a window. Besides, I don't like to overclock things anyway.
@chris, I'll be using newegg for replacements. Everything (except the i7) is refund up to 30 days, replace up to 60/90. I shouldn't have a problem, though I will be pissed if have every part working EXCEPT one mod of RAM and have to wait another week.
Thanks a lot guys. Ordered everything I could and now I play the waiting game.

@stewart: Dead after arrival... I'd rather a part not work at all, than work and then crap out on me....

So, there's something I have to share with everyone concerning this. Two days after I learned Zack, who knows almost nothing about building PCs, was building one, my friend showed me a pretty funny picture. The picture immediately reminded me of Zack. And then, I proceeded to snicker.
