www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-11-13/summer-wars-current-u.s-theatrical-dates-listedBasically for those who are staying in NY over christmas break or taking winter classes, the IFC center is showing Summer Wars from Dec. 29 - Jan 4. Chances are if you're a Sophomore, you've seen it at least once either from someone doing a movie night or from the last session of anime club last year. Still though, big screen is big screen (as a counter-argument obnoxious viewers are also quite annoying). Considering the budget for works like these, they're best enjoyed in theaters (with the exception of Japan, they're all PS3 streams). The music will no doubt benefit from a better sound system. and I am definitely going one of those nights. The biggest problem is getting this message out to the listserv considering a very small minority are part of the facebook group/forums. There aren't any times yet (the latest the IFC center has listed is the 13th of december) so group meetings will probably be planned out in about 2 weeks or so.

www.ifccenter.com/films/summer-wars/alright, here we go punks. The IFC Center's screening of summer wars at..... 10:40 AM?! FUUUUUCK. Anyway. Is there a day any one cares about in particular? I think my work at the school starts on the 2nd. I can only work 20 hours a week so I haven't worked out the schedule yet but as of now weekdays are a potential no. Any time between christmas and that time is ok for me though if anyone wants to plan something.

I've already seen this twice, so I don't really want to see it again. Just that for those who haven't seen it before, they did this one day last year. The one day everyone got snowed in.
I raged because I missed it. It's definitely a great movie.
