Nope just the fact at the outrageous pricing and how these guys expect us to buy all these things just to play 3D As opposed to $300+ for a fake 3D? I'll be buying a 50" HD 3D TV next year (and the nVidia 3D vision this year for Crysis 2). As for the 3DS.. maybe one day. After a price drop. And used. But then again, I still have my old fat DS.

And how do u know it's going to be $300? Buying a 3d hd tv is probaby twice as expensive if not more. Bottom line I'm not spending that kind of money and wearing goofy glasses to play games or watch tv. 3DS can play hd 3d movies and is more importantly portable. But then again, I guess if u spent $5000 dollars on a laptop this would be chump change.

If you want a neat 3D effect in games, buy a 3DS.

Naw, Nintendo definitely won this E3. EA's showing was decent, but it was really just more of the same, whereas Nintendo gave tons of love to both its hardcore fanbase ~and~ other games ~and~ casuals.
Honestly, that's how it always should've been. I'm okay with games like Wii Party and Just Dance existing, as long as games like the new DKC, Kid Icarus, new Kirby, etc also are being made. It was that brief period where Nintendo only seemed to be making one or two real games, and then a bunch of waggle games, where I was really bummed.
But yeah, did you see some of the 3DS games that weren't announced during that conference? Star Fox, Animal Crossing, Bomberman, and a ton more (those were the ones I can remember off the top of my head).
And yeah, I agree - Nintendo's implementation of 3D is perfect. It's not intrusive, there are no extra peripherals you have to buy, and everyone watching (not that many people watch DS's, but still) can enjoy it.
When I saw that they were doing Zelda first, and it seemed to flop, I was really worried. I was sure we were in for a slew of waggle-tacular casual games. But Ninty really laid it on thick - this reminds me of the golden era of the N64, where so many exciting games were coming out that you couldn't even keep track of them all.

All you have to do to make up your mind on the 3DS - Has nintendo ever not delivered on a handheld device? The men who handle the handheld division of nintendo are geniuses, all around. Since the Brick, everything is fucking gold from fountain of youth, even more so than apple products in the steve jobs era.
The 3DS will probably be fucking intense. Really, really intense. I just can't wait to play my tactical rpgs on 3d surfaces and watch a disgaea character throw somebody over a tree or something. That's what's gonna happen, and I'm already saving up for it.

Hell yeah, that's a great point. Nintendo's been shaky from time to time as far as consoles are concerned - the Gamecube was a little boring, and the Wii's been lacking up until now.... but Nintendo's got the market cornered when it comes to handhelds. They know their shit, and they know it well.

Man, when I first heard about the 3DS, I was like "lol, 3D on a handheld?" Then I saw the games coming out for it and was like "3D or not, this is gonna be awesome." Now I'm reading the press-reviews and it seems like this is legitimately going to be FUCKING PHENOMENAL. ds.ign.com/articles/109/1098014p1.html"But it's the 3D display. Holy crap. Trust me, you really have to see this thing in person to understand why I'm incredibly impressed. Nintendo is using an LCD technology that sends each eye an independent image that the brain merges together, and the effect adds depth. A lot of depth. The effect is immediately obvious, yet seems so natural. And there are multiple sweet spots, so you don't have to awkwardly hold the system in a position that doesn't feel comfortable. If you twist the system you'll get double images and lose the 3D, but it's simple to keep the stereoscopic effect within view." It's amazing - in the span of 24 hours I went from "meh" to "FIRST DAY PURCHASE!!!"

I was a die-hard Nintendo fanboy until about a couple years ago, when it really seemed like Nintendo didn't care anymore. I realize now that I was wrong for losing faith, tho. BTW, did you guys see the Konami press conference? So much hilariously awkward shit, but this is probably the best. www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-Cw80CxHa4They dance to footage of other people dancing, I guess Konami couldn't bring a copy of the game to E3?!?!? Or (more likely) the shit wasn't working yet, and rather than humiliating themselves by trying to show off a game that wasn't responsive, they humiliated themselves by dancing in front of footage of other people dancing. kek
