Dude, you know what I like most about anime?
Catchy theme songs. You know, the kinds that are stuck in your head forever after you hear a snippet of it in trailers that drives you to watch the WHOLE thing.[/b] I mean, we all know how everyone knows the Pokemon theme song -- so what else do we all seem to know the moment it's mentioned again/stuck in our head after hearing it?
Well, here's one of my favorite catchy theme-songs:

Oh wow Sakura Wars is so nostalgia... I remember that one so well.
but the winners are one of these two, without a doubt.
the OST version of Tank, however, with the best sax solo ever played, is even better.
Tank! and Azumangah basically get me every time, I can't help but listen or sing along.
When my jazz band played tank!, we took turns saying the beginning like badasses. God people fucking love this song.

Here are some of my favorites: The Utawarerumono opening theme is extremely catchy- it's one of my favorites, and it's adorable: Then, of course there's the Totoro theme song- every time I hear it I spontaneously start dancing. And as long as I'm going with cute songs, here's one I discovered recently: the ending theme for Clannad. Then there's the first Bleach opening... And the third one, on that note... And then the third opening for Blood+

Ahhhh, the Utware theme <3 I pretty much blasted it on repeat over and over while I was a sophomore-junior in high school. Good times, good times... =w= And here we go, stuck in my head again haha~
... ALSO YES YES YES! TANK! AND THE AZUMANGA OPENINGS <3 Both epic additions to this thread.
>:U Also, incredibly jealous your jazz band got to play it. How did you convince them to do it?

I hang my head in shame. How come this wasn't the FIRST song up? Blasphemy I say.
The first ED from Macross Frontier is one of my personal favorites. How can you not remember this song once you hear it?
Love this gundam 00 opening. It sends shivers down my spine.
Words are not needed for this one. One of my favorite OPs.

I was gonna post up the FLCL stuff, good call Jack - ofc, the Cowboy Bebop theme is a classic, and I'm 20 episodes into azumanga, yet I swear that opening gets funnier every time I watch it. The only other one I can really think of is:
I haven't watched one piece in forever, but this is still a classic, and brings back great memories. Ofc there's also this shit salad:
Those two themes are like night and day, what the hell.

CLANNAD ED dango dango dango dango dango daikasokuu~
There was this little asian kid at my research school who would hum that everywhere he went. God memories.
Also, my jazz band was fukken awesome and that's why we played Tank!. It's a fukken hard song for every part, but we were like state-winning band so no problemo.
Dude Kannagi OP was the shit, but it felt like the production value of that entire show went into the OP. They should have just made saved the Kannagi character and made her a vocaloid, with that voice.
Also, best bleach opening (for me) coincided with the greatest arc in anime history (tied with like eight other arcs), probably the greatest arc in shounen history, opening 6. Maybe it was me just loving the show at the time, maybe it's just an awesome OP, who knows

Oooh cool opening. I stopped watching Bleach before I got there... how far into the series is that? :3 I stopped after the Rukia-is-condemed-in-the-Soul-Society saga because it was so much buildup and went on for so long that I quickly got bored of the filler that came right after it was over. I knew there was a bunch more stuff that happened after but I never bothered to get back into it.
And I've got some more openings here...I keep thinking of so many that I like!
Opening for Ef: a Tale of Memories. After watching this, I couldn't get the song out of my head for the longest time. (The opening for Melodies was good too, but I liked the first opening better. The second one took a while to grow on me, but I love that song too now.)
And I haven't even seen all of D.N. Angel, but I LOVE this song:
And I can't believe I didn't think of this earlier- the Air TV opening. Everytime I hear this song I get such a lovely nostalgic feeling- I can't really explain it.

Yeah, despite the rest of bleach, turns out soul society arc is possibly one of the best in anime, it really kind of throws away the training arc/training arc/training arc/training arc feel that the rest of bleach has (BTW OMFG KUBO FINAL GETSUGA TENSHOU ROFLMAO) and really becomes a fantastic story about a young man fighting the world to get save the girl. Maybe my nostalgia goggles are on, too, but I've stated multiple times about how good just the soul society arc of bleach is, then the rest kind of starts to shit on itself and rukia is completely ignored and it becomes Ichigo training arc for like 200 chapters.
Also, the opening I posted was actually like, the part directly after the soul society arc, but I like to pretend it was still before the rukia being thrown away and aizen's sand castle shit part.
AAANNNYWWAAAYYYYYY
Lucky Star, how can you forget WA I WAI SUN PEACE
Beck - I was born to hit in America. Btw, the moment that the OP began, I was fucking entranced by Beck. Fuck I love this show so much. With spanish subs for the wetbacks (pfft) (I dunno why they're there, do hispanic people watch obscure japanese anime)
Love Hina - Ugh, if you ever saw the show and you hear this tune again you will remember it all. It's so fucking catchy...

This medley from Macross Frontier was played at the final battle. Couldn't find a clip of it on youtube just the song. Either way, it was flipping epic. Dazzling visuals, and the best parts of every single song in the series. Imho, one of the most epic moments ever, I was shivering in excitment.
The shigofumi ed theme. For some reason, this song haunts me.
One of the most fitting op's ever. Higurashi was just an incredibly engrossing mindfuck.
Be haunted and never forget................
And once again, I'm appalled that no one has put this up yet.

Dude, I always LOVED how Elfen-Lied parodied The Lovers. And then when I got into the series.... That image really struck me.
Back on topic, WHY HASN'T THIS BEEN UP. COME ON, WE ALL TRY TO SING THIS ONE:
And this one, too:
Also Toonami attack:
<-- For some reason I believe this was used as the ENDING theme, but come on. How can you forget it? FLY IN THE SKY, SHINING FINGAR
<-- Yes the ENGLISH opening. Come on.
lololoomgKuramaaaaa <3 QAQ <3
And WHOAH I'm sorry but once you hear the first few lyrics... It's stuck in there. I'm sorry. I VANT TO CHANGE THE WORLD.

(wasn't this thread supposed to be about catchy anime OPs, not just every OP to every show you liked)
