More incentives to go. You have Eden of the East, Mulan and AMV Hell 0. WHO CAN REFUSE SUCH A SPECTACULAR NIGHT? Saturday at Jack's place, here I come! Any specific time the great night will begin?

Due to the amount of content we're watching, I'd prefer we meet up around 5. Good for everyone?

Yessir - want me to bring some stuff again? If so, let's meet up a little earlier so I don't get bounced out. (I'm still pissed at that guy).

@paul, very appreciated, just give me a call beforehand, I'll be home the entire day.
Also, news everybody. I accidentally "acquired" something very intriguing. Its the 2009 Chinese Mulan movie. I flipped through some random scenes, and it seems really well made. I do know that Jackie Chan's son, Jaycee Chan has a role. Please post your thoughts, because I was thinking maybe we'd show this instead of the disney film.

Uh, Josh demands sleep because he has a track meet Saturday morning at 7. Even though he is a complete douchebag who doesn't have the right to demand anything, I'm not going to sink down to his level. I guess it has to be Saturday. And note, unlike whats going to on at my place is obviously better than girls night. We don't discriminate based on sex. There are no discriminations based upon race, doctrines, or religion. There is only one requirement to come: To carry out justice!!! I declare the formation of the United States of *****. Note, we have AMV Hell 0. Therefore, we win. We're open to people of any sex who wishes to watch Eden of the East (and AMV Hell 0!!!). lol @ your feeble attempt at race/sex card You have your non-anime friends like Jenny who would be happy to watch Mulan with you. Don't feel threatened by awesome girls night!

Sorry Nora, I couldn't resist the geass reference I could make there. I have nothing against girls night. No need to take everything so seriously.
And notice something here as well. You're making, guess what, distinctions. Non-anime friends. I thought you hated distinctions like this.
And a quick note. She does watch anime, though casually. I'm in the process of converting her.

And notice something here as well. You're making, guess what, distinctions. Non-anime friends. I thought you hated distinctions like this. I don't hate distinctions. You can't live through life without making distinctions. Don't be silly, there is a difference between "that person isn't in anime club (and thus isn't invited to girls night)" and "that person is my friend and is one of me/us and is in anime club and is therefore an antisocial otaku" (what you like to constantly say) Also nothing wrong with healthy competition. But if you want to back down and pull the joke card because you feel threatened..... *evil* Also putting a million smilies in my posts to make me seem less "srs" is annoying. If ya'll can't figure out I'm joking by the crazy shit I say that's on ya'll. (resorting to texan what) LOL lrn2readingcomprehension (OR take a class in Sapphi-language) I would call you a silly baffoon but who knows what trouble that could get me into.

Nora, you hate it when other people invade your threads. What are you doing right now? Invading my thread and calling me a buffoon. Notice how quite a few guys joked around in your thread and I didn't. Do you mind showing me the same courtesy I am showing you?
Okay, for the people who are coming, please post whether you want to watch the Disney Mulan, or the new Chinese Mulan.

Hmm, that 2009 Mulan movie is interesting. I'm personally not familiar with the actual chinese telling of Mulan. Is the movie a faithful adaptation? Personally I need some Disney time. I never realized it when I was younger but Mulan is really well animated.

Hmmm... hard choice.. very hard. But before I make my final choice, I was going to ask the same question Chang had asked. If the movie (not Disney) is faithful to the story of Mulan, then I would love to see the adaptation that I'm sure most of us never seen. Otherwise, let Disney rule over us.

Um, the faithfulness of the movie, I cannot say. However, I do know without any research that the 2009 movie is more faithful than the disney version (everyone knows disney changes EVERYTHING). From Wikipedia's plot summary, the movie seems much more intriguing with many, how should I say, plot twists? Also, the plot seems to vastly differ. Also, did I mention Jaycee Chan (Jackie Chan's son, and I find it rather ironic that his name is Jaycee, which sounds like his initials as well as his father's).
Ultimately, its up to you guys. I'll go along with the majority.
