What are some of your reasons for not wanting to play certain Video games?
For me it has to do with the camera and game controls. I like to be able to look all around me, it drives me crazy if I can't view myself, or the world around me, in which I am playing. I like to see where I am jumping to. This is why I do not play first shooters. All I see is a gun in front of me. I like shooting games where I can see my self and my surroundings. I do not like to feel blind.
In my opinion there should be an option in the first shooter games, if you want to see yourself playing. I know first shooter is because you only see a gun. However, not everyone wants to play that way. The choice should be optional. Yes, my opinion for what is is worth.
I did play a fist shooter. I forget the name of it but the graphics were outstanding. If I could have seen myself and the world around me I would have finished that game. It just drove me to insanity, so I stopped and never finished. It was a cool game though.
Too many cut scenes. I like cut scenes don't get me wrong, but not when that is most of the game play. Though FF has cool CS, so I don't mind half of the time.
If the game is too short. I like video games that last a long time. Although FF X, FF XII are hard games, true, the game for me lasted a long time and I never finished it. I like a lot of game play hours, otherwise I won't play the video game again and again. I read FF XII has 80 different monsters, so that gives me something to do for many months.
I did not enjoy Prince of Persia game controls. Fun game though, just that I felt blind sometimes. I could not see where I was going half of the time. Tomb Raider Angle of Darkness is another game with very bad controls and movements. I still played it because it is fun and now a year later I am used to the controls.
A game that is way too hard. I like hard games but not when I have to spend a few weeks on one boss. If a game is way too easy, then there is no challenge for me. I did finish Ninja Gaiden but I will never play it again. It was too hard to enjoy. I just wanted to say and brag that I completed it. Primal for ps 2 is very hard but I finished that game to 6 months later. lol. I still like that game even though it drives me nuts to play it. I think it is the graphics and story line that keep me hooked on playing.
Too many game bugs. I like some game bugs as it gives me something fun to do, but not when I am trying to finish the game and because the bug was so nasty it won't let me complete the game. I almost didn't finish Tomb Radier Underworld because of the ramp glitch.
Also for me Graphics need to look decent. I want to feel like I am out in a real game world, that is why. If it looks too fake, then it just feels like a game. Unless the video game is very fun I will play, otherwise I need great graphics. When I played FF XI, it was like I was stepping outside. FF XI, FF XII and FF X and FF X-2 to me have awesome graphics. I like that I can ride chicken's or flying mounts like in WOW. Wait. I can't ride chicken's in Wow. I forgot, that is FF games.
