Don't worry about where you post, since this is random stuff, Ratt, you can talk about anything.
To clarify, we all go to the college called New York University (NYU) in New York City, New York. We all like to watch anime, so we are all in a club called Anime Club. The secretary of Anime Club made this website/forum so we can discuss anime online, since some of us can't make it to the club every weekly meeting. So a couple people were just confused, because they didn't recognize you from the weekly meetings. Now that everythings been clarified there shouldn't be any more confusion.
Feel free to have fun with us and discuss with us though!! (And maybe apply to NYU? Hehe)

NYU actually is revving up a pretty serious video-game design major, but they're still working on it and I don't think it'll be fully integrated for at least a couple years.
That said, I'm sure there are other colleges that already have full on video game design majors, but the same problem exists - majoring in video game design doesn't give you credibility, succeeding in making successful video games does. The rout that we've talked about, as far as you slowly working your way up in a vidya company, is probably your best bet, unless you're thinking of making your own video game company in which case you'd probably want a mix of a video game/business background. In that case NYU would be pretty good, you could go to Stern (careful it may consume your soul) and take a bunch of video game electives.

I think it's kinda cool that someone just stumbled upon the boards and started posting. If nothing else, I hope we've given you some good career advice! : D Yes, thank you.

As long as you contribute to the forums (you are), Jeff (the president) doesn't mind you posting. I think it's cool. Thanks. Say, I was once married to a Jeff. I am not joking. We are divorced. Jeff died, my ex husband. My landlords name used to be JEFF. I moved, so now I have a different landlord. Now I meet another Jeff here on this forum. Hello, nice too meet you. If there is any other Jeff's around feel free to introduce yourself.

I'm cool with the fact you're here. I was just confused as to who you are, because everyone here knows each other irl. I assumed you attended a meeting, and was just trying to figure out who you are. I used to live in the state of PA, but then I moved to Freeport, IL. I am a girl who likes to play video games all day. I don't think I have ever been to New York, though I prob lived close to the sate. I mean when I used to live in PA. I never attended a meeting. I am too busy playing video games. Now I am stuck in Primal again. It is a ps 2 game. I did beat the game once, but have not played for a long time. Feels like it to. I gotta go soon. I must return to video game land. I gotta get home. ;D

In that case NYU would be pretty good, you could go to Stern (careful it may consume your soul) and take a bunch of video game electives. I can't draw, so I do not think game design is for me. I only draw stick figures. New video game called: Stick Figures. ;D. Though I do not know how to make them move. What is that called when people make the animations move? I want to make my stick figures move. Do you know what is called when people make puzzles for a game? Is that game design? Well, someone has to come up with the idea for the puzzle, then make it. I would like to make game decisions, or become a video game tester, or even record voices for a game. My drawings suck. I was never gifted in drawing anything. Though I could have drawn for pack man. I can make dots, see. .............Now I have to make a pac-man. Not sure how that is done from my keyboard. <> That doesn't look right. Wait. I will just copy and paste. LOL
