An Otaku haven you say. I somehow pictured you as Liquid Ocelot while you mentioned the words "Otaku Haven." Only you had a metal gear Konata instead of a MG Ray (that would be an epic fight... MG Konata vs MG Ray). I'll be looking forward to a weekend then (not this weekend but maybe the next one... maybe). If we get Jason and Aaron to join, then we can get a competition going on.

Why don't you just get a second monitor?

Meh, the extra screen doesn't mean anything to me.
If I had to the money to buy one of those, I wouldn't. I'd get an alienware, all the way. Probably have enough money for a second monitor while I'm at it.

It also has a built in tablet. Not that I would use it. And carrying a second monitor isn't very practical. Though I'm thinking of setting up a second monitor in my room one of these days.

XPS M1730 Intel Core 2 Extreme x9000 @2.8GHz 640GB HDD @5200rpm Nvidia SLI Dual GeForce 8700GT (512MB) Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit How did you pay $5,000 for that? That graphics card is two generations old, the RPM on your hard drive is slower than anything I've seen on the market (impressive actually, how did you get it that slow?), and the processor itself costs $1700 new on google (dell will mark this up even higher). I'm using an intel core 2 duo t7500 and it scores only a little bit less per core than your power hungry beast. Sure, you have quad core but I've never seen a cpu bottlenecked game that utilizes more than one core... except maybe supreme commander? So in essence, you could replace it with a $300 dual core from intel and your FPS will never drop below your refresh rate (which matters most) since the cpu is not bottle necked at this point. Anyway, that's the price you pay turbokitting the wrong piece of hardware in your laptop.

It was the second most powerful laptop at the time B) Currently, the only thing bottlenecking anything is the GPU, which is overkill for 98% of games on the market anyway. C) HDD speed is the same as usual 2.5" HDD speed. I never saw the point of paying 2x as much for 7200. Especially not for two HDDs. D) Go try and play Kingdom Hearts II/FFXII on a dual core CPU at >60FPS, then you can tell me quad core isn't worth it. E) Crysis on max. /discussion. Sorry about that e-peen =( Have a cookie.
