Thanksgiving Break

Ah yes. Kinokuniya. Good place too. Has almost anything that you would expect in a Japanese bookstore, from books on language and manga to pens, paper, and even bentou boxes. I've gone there many times but I always find the prices a tad to price. For books and other prints, I usually get them in book-off, another japanese bookstore nearby. Its located on East 41st between 5th and 4th avenue, east of Bryant Park. Much cheaper than Kinokuniya and sometimes cheaper than Barnes and Noble.

*update* = after cooking a ton of shit all day with my mom, a couple other korean families came over and we all ate until we nearly died. I just got my laptop, am currently dozing off/sleeping and surfing... a couple of the kids are asleep, and one of them just made the joke "my food baby's about 5 months along". I lold

I'm sleepy as shit, though. Ate like half the turkey myself.

there are so many threads, I'm not sure which category this fits under... I was trying to find a picture of Spike for my avatar and came across some news that Keanu Reeves is playing Spike in a FOX live action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop! I can't believe they're going to remake Cowboy Bebop...with people...in English...with Keanu Reeves!?!?! this information came out back in January so you guys might've already discussed this... think they'll ruin Cowboy Bebop?
to make this semi-related to the topic of this thread... Thanksgiving was way too short, my family had "hot pot" instead of the traditional thanksgiving turkey, green bean casserole, etc. dishes... didn't get any homework done. Nevertheless, Thanksgiving break was pretty awesome.

Also, hot pot can be great? My thanksgiving was asian-infused as well, with dumplings and kimchi served alongside the mashed potatoes and turkey. It was weird. Both hotpot and the cowboy bebop live action deserve their own threads, so lets get to it

Yeah that's old news. I'm expecting it to be the spiritual successor to Dragonball Evolution, but I think there's a sequel to that movie too. It's gonna be an awesomely bad year for movies.

I had a slightly less awful Hell train ride coming back then I did going. Someone spilled soda in my hair, and it was so packed, I pretty much got man handled and smooshed and crushed for 15 minutes. Infinite patience...though Thanksgiving was nice, procrastinating on work, sleeping in, dance party ^_^
