Wouldn't it make more sense to get a board on these forums instead of having everyone register twice?

Except that not everyone on the floor is in the anime club. So non-otaku would have to come in here and disrupt our....alone time.

Right, about 7/35 people who signed up for Genshiken are actually in anime club. And when sign ups officially open I think the total amount of people will be ~50ish.
lolz @ your distiction between otaku and non-otaku Jeff. I don't think Genshiken people would be scared off by the activities of anime people. Since they joined Genshiken, I think they are aware of anime and it's ensuing fandom. Other than my slightly molestational tendancies, I have no outer markings of an otaku so I can burrow quite well into any group without them finding me out. bahwhawhha
Jokes aside, I think merging the forums could be a good idea one day. Except I'd rather you merged with mine, since these forums are borderline frustrating to use and mine have an easier UI and more functionality. You would get a wider expanse of topics and more people who would be interested in them. The only utter seperation that would need to happen are Genshiken vs. AC activities, because Gen. involves the entire topic of visual media.
Plus it's pretty.

A) My forums > your forum B) I didn't know the floor would be mostly non-anime club members. Screw that then, I don't want other people here. I can barely stand half of you guys >B^| (I jest....I jest...) I'll be sure to troll your forums next semester =D

8U LOLOLOL With a name like Genshiken wasn't it obvious that there were going to be otaku for those non-otaku?
LOL also... :U Sorry but proboards is better. It's easier to customize a proboards skin than it is to play around with the settings of another board 8U ANd this is so easy to use what are you talking about asdokasdookdsa

Eh? There's essentially thousands of skins for both proboard + IP, that's the least of my worries.
As far as tweaking forum settings goes, IP continues to be the best and most user friendly software I've used, It's easy to get to know it like the back of your hand, and it's excessively easy to admin on and control. The amount of features and things I can tweak makes me happy inside.
All you (user) needs to worry about is how easy/fun it is to post, and while here it's simple "enough," (for ONE example) I wanted to stab someone's aorta while doing something that's supposed to be a cinch like formatting my signature. The UI here is definitely ambivalent on friendliness.
You and Zack are invited to come and see the difference for yourselves~<3 But I don't hold you to it.

Zack's clearly bluffing. He is drooling at the prospect of having more people on the forum to read his thoughts and fruitlessly argue with him. Personally I like the idea of sharing boards, what happened to unifying the horribly withdrawn NYU anime community?
Also our boards are better, suck it.

Meh, the more I hear about this, the more I feel like wasting thousands of dollars for a dorm in this floor. Then again, sleeping in someone's closet ain't that bad, especially since its free (for me).

Also our boards are better, suck it. Aww, you guys really are so cute, with your little in-group mentality. <3 @frank: LOLZ You know you want to waste thousands of dollars, Frank! If not, you will always have a place in one of the closets. I have to also check out Palladium's lounges this week. Keywords of "dining hall" "gym/pool/rock climbing" "most popular dorm evar" "harder to get explorations floor in" etc. etc. made me mindlessly first choice it before actually checking out the residential part physically. If I'm not mistaken, the basement, second, and part of the third floor has wireless internets... so... We can have SO MANY fun sleepovers!
