Wow. I just spent the whole day watching Baccano! (as you can tell from the time of this post) and it was awesome. I first heard of it from watching it at the AMV contest at Otakon (it was great) but I never got around to watching it. 13 episodes + 3 DVD only episodes, totaling 16. It takes place in the USA, but mostly in NY The synopsis on wiki is kind of spoilerish, but basically the anime tells a story by showing events that happen in a very different chronological order. Think of Haruhi but with an actual story and multiple stories within one episode. The story spans a few centuries but the majority of it focuses on three years. The anime doesn't exactly leave you at cliffhangers at the end of every episode, but it makes you want to watch more to find out wtf is happening. It felt so good knowing the whole story after finishing it. I loved the OP too. Usually I only watch the OP/ED of a series once and skip it for the rest of the show, but I kept rewatching this OP because I liked it so much. Maybe it's the jazz. I grew attached to a lot of the characters. There's a LOT of unique characters that I wished the anime could've shown more of. I mean it when I say a LOT. All the characters in the OP aren't even all of them. tldr; I recommend Baccano!

Saw some of it in club last year. If you'd like us to watch some random episodes of it(since it doesn't matter chronologically) we can show it. I don't have the files though but you can just give em to me.

Ya, this was one of the anime we saw occasionally. We probably won't watch it completely, but we can watch some episodes we didn't see last year.
Baccano is indeed awesome.

Baccano is like the third anime I ever watched, and it was probably my "breakthrough" anime, where I realized how wide and varied the different kinds of anime there were out there. Character dramas instead of I CHOOSE YOU PIKACHU you know.
