Oh, so we're changing the criteria for FB from "no one uses" to "no one OFTEN uses" the former number being a number I can count on my hand, the latter being.... whatever my criteria for "no one" ..and "often" happen to be at the moment. (In which case I still have to unfortunately say you are wrong <3 ) Anyway we still have a few more people to add, but this should solve the problem of tl;dr event threads and people who simply DON'T go on forums to check for events. I don't think you actually know what goes on in the FB AC group yet, Zack, but right now it's supplementing the forums as a mechanism for the more "casual" members. You should get Luis to update THAT group before fully dumping responsibility on him IMO.. Honestly I think it's a little annoyingly redundant to literally refuse to make a group for over half a year, and when a member finally makes one to help members, scrapping that one and making a "new" one when the current one is updated/completely open to everyone while claiming that you don't use FB yourself and it's useless (so prolly WON'T update the new group). But if you actually will go against my expectations and update the group then by all means take it off my hands. I just hate downgrading. No Youtube channel? Also, I always wanted to choreograph an anime dance and put it on Youtube... I guess me and Ichi are on our own.

I have no interest in stuff that we don't have direct control over. If we make a FB/twitter account I want the four of us (and just the four of us) to be in control of it.
Better to start it anew and get the few people on it to join the official one.

About the youtube channel. I really doubt we could put it to good use. Not like we'll have a lot of great videos to put up. However, since some of us already have youtube channels, I can just make an NYUClubAnime group, and people can join it if they want. See what others are posting etc.
About the facebook, Nora, you did make that on your own without asking anyone else. As you said, there's not that many people on it anyway. Not sure how difficult it is to make a FB but if it's not difficult, I don't see why we can't just make a new one.
I don't use twitter, but I've seen some people use it. Potentially useful for last minute updates. Like what restaurant we're going to, what room number we're in, if club gets canceled, etc.

Hey, I totally did ask people. And "No, cuz FB is gay" wasn't a sufficient answer so I made one anyway. Also I'm saying making one is easy (by all means do so) I just think it's dumb to make another one (just "cuz") if only one e-board member actually uses FB. If you want to then by all means make one, me thinking it's dumb can't stop you!!!

I'm surprised there's still people that don't like facebook. The twitter hate I can understand, I kind of hate it too (even though I have one), but facebook is like youtube - you don't really use it because you care about the product or the brand, you just use it cause it's a part of the internet that's too big to ignore.
Then again, not using facebook would probably give me an hour of free time a day that I could re-invest into SC2, which would mean I'd be getting better at a rate of one hour/day. Hmm...

Facebook is too self-important for me. I grew out of it after watching friends "compete for the most pictures" which is basically the gayest thing I have ever heard. I did not grow out of calling things gay, apparently.

Ahahahaha, yeah I know a couple chicks that have breeched 1,000 pics, that's always impressive. And nowadays the big fad is to join every single group vague enough to apply to you(like "That time in 6th grade when you hit puberty!!!!").

Yeah, as mentioned earlier, facebook is one site that no matter where you are in the world, you really can't ignore it. Want to know the name of that person who is in your class? Go to facebook. Don't know what events are occurring on campus? Go to facebook. Personally, I am guilty as far as forgetting people's names and that I have to resort to looking them up on facebook. But hey, FB sometimes does have its advantages.
Believe it or not, I think it is a great idea to have a Club Anime FB group. I don't know about everyone here but back when I was innocent (prior to being raped by NYU massive.... well, you get the idea... pretty much when i was a pre-freshy), I tried to use every source available to look for an anime club on campus. Facebook was one of my sources. Unfortunately, not having an anime club on FB, I had to look for alternative resources. The point of my spiell is that by having an anime club FB group, we would be able to expose ourselves even further to both the NYU and non-NYU community (if you still do not know me well, my goal for the NYU Club Anime is to expand the club and get recognition... in short, to get out of the shadows were few people know who we are and that we do EXIST). So Nora, I applaud your effort. Keep it up.
I think that sums up my thought about the NYU Anime Club Facebook group. Thoughts comments, etc?

I have never had the need, urge, desire, or thought of ever using facebook in any manner at any point in time. The only reason I had one was because i was bored at school one day. A few years ago it was myspace. Now no one uses that. These things come and go. 10 bucks says I wont care about the next social networking gimmick either.... If people want it, however, then as an eboard member I will be glad to employ it and utilize it for the club. It appears that most people don't really care about it though...

That seems to be the case. So let's use it to spread the word of god Anime. I'm still not touching it though so we can let Luis or Nora handle it.
